Description
Comprising: a ring centring on an oval portrait miniature of a left eye, with hazel iris painted on ivory, to a band with foliate and scroll engraved decoration, size O½, British hallmarks for Chester, 1890, miniature cracked; together with a ring centring on an oval portrait miniature of an eye, with blue iris painted on ivory, to a scroll engraved band decorated with black enamel, inscribed 'Annis Elliot. Obt Sept.18th. 1853 Age 50.', size M.
Condition
Black enamel ring: eye slightly obscured by heavy abrasions to glass, scratched to enamel and two small chips, British hallmarks for 18ct gold, Foliate chased ring: eye with crack through centre and some dirt trapped beneath glass, hollow shank and British hallmarks for 9ct gold.
