Description

Designed as a nautical life ring, decorated with white and blue enamel, centring on a Latin cross highlighted with rose-cut diamonds, opening to reveal a secret glazed compartment containing an oval portrait of a left eye, with blue iris painted on ivory, size G½.

Condition

Eye with some dust and dirt trapped beneath glass, probably later associated to ring mount, shank stamped 18ct for 18ct gold, locket cover lose, does not stay closed.
