Description

Comprising: a ring centring on a square glazed compartment containing a portrait miniature of a right eye, with hazel iris, within a border of half pearls, to a wide gold band inset with braided hair, inscribed to the inside with interlaced initials ' LVP',  size P, 1820s; together with an oval portrait of a right eye, with blue iris, to a border of half pearls, mounted in a ring, size N, British hallmarks for Birmingham, 1987.

Condition

Hair ring : eye in good condition with some dust beneath glass, hair band in good condition, Oval ring: eye in good condition, some dust beneath glass, glass heavily abraded, mounted in 9 carat gold, later associated ring band.
