Description

Comprising: an oval portrait of a left eye, with blue/grey iris painted in oil, to a border of half pearls, suspended from a row of seed pearls, length approximately 400mm, brooch/pendant and necklace later; together with a rectangular clasp centring on a portrait of a left eye, with brown iris painted on ivory, to a border of half pearls, to a later three row necklace of faceted garnet beads, length approximately 380mm.

Condition

Large eye : painted in oil, small area of paint loss to left of eye and some dust and dirt beneath glass, frame in good condition, small eye : eye slightly dislodged within frame, some dust and dirt beneath frame and abrasions to glass, attached to modern garnet bead necklace.
