Description

Comprising: a brooch centring on an oval portrait miniature of a gentleman's right eye, with blue iris and powdered wig painted on ivory, to a gold filigree frame applied with a half pearl and white enamel; a ring centring on an oval portrait miniature of a right eye, with blue iris painted on ivory, to a tapered gold band, size Q.

Condition

Ring : eye slightly faded, small crack to glass bottom left on the underside, extensive wear to shank and underside of bezel, brooch : eye slightly faded, some dust beneath glass, frame possibly French with small traces of blue enamel remaining around pearl collet, later plaque applied to reverse stamped 18K.
