RUBY AND DIAMOND CORSAGE BROOCH AND A DIAMOND BROOCH, LATE 19TH CENTURY

Description

Comprising: a corsage ornament designed as a floral spray, with two flower heads mounted en tremblant, the petals and leaves set with rose-cut diamonds accented with circular-cut stones, the buds highlighted with circular-cut rubies; a brooch designed as a stylised flower with articulated stamens set with rose-cut diamonds, French assay marks, accompanied by two glazed display cases, two diamonds deficient, part illustrated.

Condition

Small brooch stamped with French assay marks for 14 carat gold and silver, later rhodium plated, rose-cut stones with mixed colours and clarities, bright and lively. Large brooch diamonds mostly lasque-cut with mixed colours and clarities, two diamonds deficient, both overall good condition.
