un athlète romain debout sur son char, protégé par Minerve, bride les chevaux cabrés ; le cadran de la pendule inscrit dans la roue ; le socle en marbre vert avec aux quatres angles un faisceau et en façade un aigle enserrant la foudre, encadré de couronnes de lauriers traversées par un glaive ; les candélabres à trois lumières ; les trois bobêches soutenues par un panier de fleurs supporté par une cariatide ailée posée sur un globe ; même socle de marbre vert avec faisceaux dans les angles

Overall condition is overage; the marble base of the mantel clock restored (under the front legs of the horse); the bronze is dirty and stained in places; mecanism of the clock is not garanteed.
