the brass clockface with a silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals within foliate and strap-work spandrels centered by vases and flanked by eagles beneath an arched apse centered by a silvered pendant engraved with an eagle above the motto TEMPUS FUGIT flanked by foliate spandrels centered by Pegasus surmounted by a semicircular silvered band inscribed JOHN COATES TETBURY FECIT, the two-train five-pillar movement with secondary dial and calendar aperture. Decoration refreshed, works associated.

Overall good restored condition, decoration refreshed; works associated; minor chips and wear to painted and gilded surfaces; minor nicks and wear to the edges; the hood with age cracks to top; later finials.
