Description
the seat frame stamped with the Roman numeral I. Repaired break to left front leg.
Condition
Overall restored condition; old repaired breaks to backrest at joins with splat and stiles now with patches; the legs and back seat rail slightly loose from side rail; later corner blocks; old repaired break to top of front left leg with some plugs; brackets with some plugs; brackets to front left leg with old screw holes; minor chips and losses to carvings; minor old worm to underside of seat rail and to corner blocks; small age crack to corner of left seat rail at join with front seat rail; the apron with some patches to veneers; front legs lacking original corner blocks; age cracks to shoe of backrest; overall with some old marks, scratches, scuffs and bruises consistent with age and use.
