Description
comprising: a lozenge-shaped fruit compote, four square dishes, four shell-shaped dishes, four lozenge-shaped dishes, twenty-four dessert plates. Together with an English porcelain part dessert service, circa 1850, each piece painted in the center with fruit, comprising: four dessert plates and a tazza. 42 pieces.
Condition
Union Service, all in generally good conditon except:
-One square dish is broken diagonally in 2 pieces and restored.
-One lozenge-shaped dish has a haircrack running across its width within the footrim; another has a pinhead rim chip.
-The compote has a very minor small patch of discoloration.
-Two plates each have a 1/4 in. chip to the underside of the rim; one plate is discolored and has a 2 1/2 in. haircrack to the rim and a second fine 3 in. haircrack to the center; one plate has a small patch of discoloration and a 1/4 in. footrim chip; one plate has a 1 in. haircrack issuing from a firing tear on the rim; three plates have some patches of discoloration to the center.
Fruit Service:
Some occasional very minor wear to gilding around the cavettos of the plates; two have scratch marks across the fruit in the center.
