Description

  • height of bough pot and cover 7 3/4 in.
  • 19.68 cm
each painted in a typical Imari palette, the demilune bough pot molded with pillars and resting on four bun feet, the pierced cover with a floriform knop heightened in gilding, and the flower pots each with molded dolphin mask handles, Chamberlains Worcester mark in iron-red script, pattern number 276. Some chips. 6 pieces

Condition

The bough pot and cover: One foot has been off and glued back on, otherwise it is in generally good condition. The flower pots and stands: All with some wear to the gilding particularly to a larger extent around the edges of the rims and to the mask handles. A 2 1/2 inch portion of the rim of one stand had restoration to an area of chipping, which is now chipped away exposing the original damage.
