- length of dishes 8 3/4 in.
- 22.2 cm
the dishes each painted with a spray of cut damsons and other sprigs and butterflies and the four plates each painted with various sprays and sprigs of fruit, butterflies and other insects within a turquoise and brown 'feather'-molded rim, brown anchor marks. Some wear and minor chips.
Condition
Octagonal dishes: each has some minor wear to the enamels in the center; one has a slightly less than 1/4-in. shallow chip to the footrim, the other has a 1/2-in. shallow chip to the footrim.
Plates: each with some patches of wear to the enamels and glaze, particulalry around the cavetto - some of the worn patches have discolored slightly. One has a 1/2-in minor chip to the interior of the footrim and thickly pooled glaze that has crazed around the rim; a second has a minor flat 1/2 and a 1/4-in. chip to the footrim, a minor 1/4-in slice chip to the rim edge and a patch of gritiness and crazing to the glaze on the rim; the third has two pinhead and a very minor 1/8-in slice chip to the rim edge
