- 145cm. high, 92cm. wide; 4ft.9in., 3ft.¼in.
the foliate and stylised scallopshell cresting above a cartouche shaped engraved mirror plate depicting a baluster vase of flowers, above a rectangluar plate within a moulded frame carved with 'c'- scrolls, flowers and elliptical motifs on a stippled ground, the sides with acanthus sprays, flowers and scrolls, supporting two later spirally turned cut glass candlearms and circular detachable drip-pans, above a pierced apron centred by a stylised heart-shaped motif and scrolls and acanthus
Condition
Colour of gilding less greenish, more golden and attractive than in the catalogue photograph. Restored break to cresting. Some retouching to gilding. Carved sections strengthened at back, where old minor restorations. Gilding worn in places, as visible from the photograph, especially on bottom border of frame. Attractive detail to carving. In overall good conserved condition.
