Provenance

Sold lot 497, Da una dimora di Piazza Farnese, Vol. II, Sotheby's, Casino dell' aurora Pallavicini, Rome, 18th May 2004.

Condition

Gilding much more golden, less green and much more attractive than in the catalogue photograph. Beautiful quality of casting. There is a very minor break in the lapis lazuli on the right swan-neck pediment which also has a small restored crack as visible from the catalogue illustration. A rare piece with a good provenance, in overall very good original condition.
