Description

  • lantern: 62cm. high, 2ft.¼in., approx. candlearm: 122cm. length, 4ft.
each candlearm boldly cast with acanthus leaves and flowers supporting a hexagonal lantern with an ovoid finial above a guilloche pierced raised top, each angle with an acanthus leaf above glazed sides and a door enclosing a candlenozzle, with an ovoid knop, on later iron brackets; decoration refreshed

Condition

Colours overall more vibrant and attractive in reality. Some small holes and cracks in base of one lantern which can easily be filled. Knop on base of both reglued. Attractive model in overall good restored condition. Very striking, decorative piece.
