with a later shaped top supported by a female bust with a turban, the stem boldly carved with scrolls, acanthus leaves and husks terminating in a scrolled foot
Condition
Gilding less greenish more golden and attractive than in the catalogue photograph. Old marks, chips and scratches especially to the top commensurate with age. The carving on the stem is a very good quality and there are some minor losses to the carving and gilding which can easily be restored. The leafy sprays flanking the female mask have been strengthened with metal at the back. A very unusual table which just requires some minor attention to the gilding.
