Description

  • 8.5cm., 3 3 / 8 in.
of hexagonal baluster form, each panel moulded in relief with branches of flowers and leaves, alternating with one branch with a bird perched on it and a second one above; the other one with a bird flying in the air, the edges of foot, shoulders and six ribs decorated with Kerbschnitt (small chip to one edge of footrim)

The form and decoration of this tea caddy are taken from a Chinese Yixing example.
