elongated octagonal, the sides chased with scrolling foliage, flowerheads and urns at intervals, the border with ribbon-tied floral swags and ram's heads, the base similarly flat-chased and fitted with a three-section rolling calendar attached by screws and a recessed pen tray, the cut and etched glass inkwells with hinged silver covers with conforming decoration, marked on underside and with code RVP

Condition

a little overall wear, calendar missing one knob, engraved monogram probably removed from border, otherwise good condition
