Description

  • long. 41 cm
  • 16 in
composée d'un cuilleron profond en péricarpe de noix de coco et d'un manche en bois (fixé par une gomme végétale), sculpté en forme de crocodile stylisé. La puissance de l'animal est signifiée par le corps renflé, surdimensionné, et la tête tendue vers l'avant. A la stylisation des formes répond le décor à motifs géométriques champlevés, rehaussés de chaux et de pigments noirs et rouges.

Condition

Very good condition overall. Wear consistent with age and use within the culture. Small loss to the tip of the crocodile jaws. The fixing attachment has been restored.
