Condition
Please note that this table is shown in the catalogue illustration without the rosewood extension leaves. A photograph of the console table that is included with this lot is available on the online version of the catalogue at sothebys.com.
Dining Table: Overall very good condition with some minor surface scratches. With two removable leaves and all original hardware retained. Due to the aging process of the wooden leaves, they do not fit the glass table top perfectly flush, which does not detract from the design or the functionality of the leaves.
Console: Overall very good condition. With some minor surface scratches, rubbing to metal and some areas of slight discoloration. The legs with evidence of oxidation leaving the metal matte in color with a white residue. The primary function of this piece is to store the removable leaves of the dining table. Table is slightly uneven to the touch. 31 3/8 x 50 x 17 ΒΌ in. Travertine top.

Catalogue Note
This table model was originally designed for a client who regularly entertained in her New York apartment, and the removable extension leaves allowed her to accommodate a larger number for dinner. The later model retailed through Vladimir Kagan was available with and without the extension leaves.
