Description

- Vase
- incised Walrath/Pottery and with firm's cipher
- glazed earthenware
- modeled by Frederick E. Walrath
Condition
Overall in very good condition. There are traces of a transparent white surface residue on the interior of the vase just below the rim, possibly lime scale or water marks from prior use. The exterior, most notably around the bulbous lower region, with some light surface scratches and abrasion marks most likely from contact with another surface. With what appears to be a few scattered pinhead size paint specks to the exterior. In reality the glazes are slightly deeper and more saturated in color than seen in the catalogue illustration, where there is a lot of light reflection on the surfaces.
