Catalogue Note

This charming and restrained window is emblematic of Tiffany's excellence in the production of stained glass windows.  The angel's face is finely rendered and a sculptural three-dimensionality is achieved through the use of plated, drapery, rippled, and confetti glass.

The lot is accompanied by copies of the original order and invoice paperwork from Tiffany Studios for the window.  The invoice dated May 27, 1903 indicates that  "2 small angel windows" were commissioned for $600.00.
