Condition
Generally very good overall condition. The shade has some rubbing where it accepts the metal mount and is expected with the design of this model. Some rubbing to the patina notably to the edges and high points. Lamp has been rewired.

According to family tradition, this lamp was presented by the city of Paris to the architect Alfred H. Jacobs for a commission relating to the Paris Opera House. Alfred H. Jacobs (1882-1954) was a noted San Francisco-based architect and is best remembered for the grand movie palaces he designed, notably the Curran Theater in San Francisco.
