Catalogue Note

This chair demonstrates the extraordinary craftsmanship and attention to detail that dominate Espenet's furniture designs.  Incorporating his trademark "round over" technique, the joinery goes beyond simple function and becomes an integral element of the decorative scheme.

The current lot is from the collection of the artist and was used as a dining chair in his home.  This chair is being sold with a certificate of authenticity from Arthur Carpenter III.
