of rectangular form with an iron lockplate carved with scrolls, the reverse painted black and gilt in the form of tracery; formerly mounted on cabinet

Condition

Evidence of a previous lock plate on the front, some losses to gilding and painted decoration on the reverse. In overall good condition. Very nice and unusual tracery motif. Inventive design.
