Condition
Good considering age and use with attractive patina and colour. A lot of wear with old chipping and indents throughout as to be expected especially with seat furniture. Old partial fragmenting on cresting rail and old partial splits and fragmenting on the rear uprights. There is shrinkage to the back panel with old stained filler on the upper rim and the lower rim with some old fragmenting and loss in the right corner. The arms with old indents, splits and knotting and the right arm with an old timber filled aperture. The seat with separation, splits and shrinkage and with partial old fragmented losses. Typical wear to turned supports. The rear with scorched crackled surfaces (probably due to proximty to a fire place), old filler, splits and fragmenting. Of firm stance. This rare and substantial child's chair has a nice presence and the attractive wear portrays its history.
