LACQUER VANITY CASE, 1920s

Description

The rectangular case applied to the front and back with a terracotta and gold lacquer motif of Japanese influence, opening to reveal a mirror, powder compact and lipstick, measurements approximately 45 mm x 31 mm x 10 mm, French assay and indistinct maker's marks.

Condition

Engraved 'Xmas 1923' to inner case. Chip to mirror and damage to backing. Weighing approximately 52.5 grams. In very good condition.
