Description
Comprising: a vanity and cigarette case; each rectangular case decorated with a lattice work motif centring on a stylised flower head design, set at intervals with circular-cut rubies and single-cut diamonds; the vanity case opening to reveal a mirror, powder compact, and lipstick holder, both unsigned, fitted case initialled J.R.
Condition
Cigarette Case: Stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Diamonds of bright and lively stones. Rubies well matched in colour, some with minor abrasions and chips. Minor scratches to polished surfaces consisted with age and wear. Weighing approximately 105 grams.
Vanity Case: Stamped 750 for 18 carat gold and CG maker's marks to inner rim of lid. Diamonds of bright and lively stones, one diamond deficient. Rubies well matched in colour, minor abrasions to crown facets and one stone with chip. Minor scratches to polished surfaces consisted with age and wear. Weighing approximately 193 grams. Evidence of tarnishing to reverse and hinges. Both in good condition.
Together with photos of Boucheron parure bought at the same time, same motif and signed.
