Description
The square case with a concealed mirror overlaid with a pierced open work panel decorated with floral and foliate motifs and a pair of tropical birds, highlighted with cabochon sapphires, opening to reveal a single compartment, measuring approximately 74mm x 74mm x 15mm, signed Boucheron Made in France and numbered, French assay and makers marks, British import marks for London, 1952, with a pouch; accompanied by a brown silk travelling case, signed Boucheron Paris, and two further travelling cases in cream and black silk of similar design, part illustrated.
Condition
Stamped 925 for silver and numbered BT No-875012, partial maker's marks to inside of case. Sapphires well matched in colour. Minor scratches and indentations to polished surfaces consistent with age and wear. Slight tarnishing to inside of case. Weighing approximately 237.6 grams. In good condition.
Brown Silk Travelling Case: In very good condition. Other two travelling cases with wear to silk.
