Description

  • 9cm. high, 15cm. diameter.
8-cm enamel chapter ring with Roman numerals, engraved silvered alarm disc and shaped blued hands, movement with baluster shaped pillars signed on the backplate Cabriel London, fusee and chain going train with verge escapement and balance under a finely foliate pierced silvered cock, trip repeating rack hour striking and alarm on a bell in the bottom of the gilt and silvered hexagonal shaped case with scroll and shell mouldings, glazed sides panels with shaped silvered surround, the whole raised on wing and claw feet, together with a matching travel case

Condition

dial with a few small hairline cracks, hands probably replaced but well done, movement recently cleaned and in working order, very good condition, hard to tell what parts are replaced but most look good to me, all ends of the pillars off and now all pinned from the side, alarm seems to be restored, case regilt but very well done, the whole clock is in showroom condition, the travel case lacks the top glass and has scratches from wear and age throughout, the hinging part of the leather somewhat distressed, together with two winders and a travel case
