- approximately 10ft. 11in. by 9ft. 3in. (3.33 by 2.82m.)
Condition
Pile ranges from near original 1/5 of an inch to low to knotheads in areas of foldwear. Approximately 1 feet at both sides is missing, about half of border. Several cuts and later rejoining throughout. Rewoven areas with approximately 6 inch by 6 inch area being the largest in size. Some scattered repiled moth damage in upper left corner. Further scattered repiled areas, with the largest being 2 inches by 4 inches. Visible stitching in lower right area of field. Some other scattered restiching. Scattered spot stains, foldwear. Woven horizontally, sides later bound, end intact. Backed with thick padded linen fabric, under which older and thinner lining exists. Supple handle, unusual cartouche design.
