- A Qajar brocade curtain
- ranging from approximately 7ft. by 9ft. (2.13 by 2.74m.) to 11ft. 4in. by 5ft. 5in. (3.45 by 1.65m.) (quantity)
together with a pair of brocade curtains, another pair in silk velvet; a pair of crimson silk and applied floral brocade curtains; two pairs of pale celadon striped velvet curtains; a pair of brocade curtains and valences; all with complementing valences, silk cord tie-backs and tassels; and three neo-Rococo brass curtain rods.
Condition
Qajar curtain comprised of four panels sewn together with later applied fringes, lined with white cotton. Bottom end folded under and sewn. Top end with hooks for hanging. Very good overall condition. Accompanying pieces are lined, with hooks or rings sewn at upper end for hanging, some with minor spot stains and losses to applied gallooning. Approximate length of curtain rods 7ft. 6 in. (2.29m.).
