with a break-fronted brass and ebony gallery top above a molded border frieze above a central cupboard door centered by a figure of Venus within an engraved ivory niche set within an architectural setting with Solomonic columns opening to reveal a fitted interior with a galleried long drawer above small drawers and mirrors, the whole flanked by six drawers above three further drawers above a molded base on claw and ball feet; the lower section with a similarly decorated break front with three drawers on spiraling, twisted legs raised on a platform stretcher raised on bunn feet.

Condition

Some losses to the molding of the galleried top with further losses to the molding of the top. Vertical age cracks with losses to the ivory with futher losses to the architectural moldings. Some losses to the tortoiseshell. The interior with mirrors missing with probably some of the molding as well. The drawers and central panel are in faux-ivory. The side drawers with some lifting to the ivory an further small losses. Further losses to the molding along the drawers. General vertical age cracks to the ebonized sides. Further marks and losses along the molding base. The lower section with restored breaks to the molding along the top, with further losses to the tortoiseshell, ivory and ebony veneers. Losses to some of the surface veneers particularly to the platform stretcher. Age cracks to the bunn feet. Chips to the spirally twisting legs. In otherwise sound condition. Please note that this lot contains tortoiseshell and ivory. All standard export regulations apply.
