with a stepped rectangular cornice centered by a mother-of-pearl panel depicting Atlas flanked by attendants and by the figures of Ceres and Justice, the case with four cupboard doors fitted with concealed lockplates and centered by engraved mother-of-pearl panels within molded red tortoiseshell borders, the base with two drawers, raised on later ebonized paw feet.
Condition
The cabinet slightly darker and more attractive than in catalogue illustration. There are some repacements to the bone and mother of pearl inlay, as well as additions. Some losses to the bone and ebonised inlay. Some restorations to the door panellings. Minor missing elements. The locks are later replacements. With old minor marks, chips and scratches consistent with age and use, in overall good condition.
