comprising: a small lingzhi fungus and bamboo study, naturalistically carved, 18th century, Japanese wood box; a scepter carved in the form of a knobby stalk terminating in a lotus pod with seeds, 19th century, Japanese wood box; and a small bamboo lingzhi fungus reticulated brushrest with a solid terminal, 19th century (5)

Condition

The scepter is in good condition. The seed pod has a missing section, but it is not clear whether that was original to the carving or a later loss (the patina is the same as the rest). The brushrest in good condition. The lingzhi group with very minor insect bores.
