of small cylindrical form rising from three short bracket feet, carved in relief with two figures walking along a mountainous landscape toward a pavilion, the scene with scattered trees and a bamboo grove, a short poem ta xue tu, jia chen xiao chun yue inscribed in clerical and running scripts, which may be translated as 'Picture of walking on snow. In the 10th month of the jiachen year (dated in accordance with either 1724 or 1784), signed Yi Shan', the wood of reddish-brown tone and deep patina
