Catalogue Note

The calligraphy may be translated as: 'It has been nearly 20 years since I passed the house at Liangzhi. There we chanted poems at the Qingbi pavilion and linked the mountain spring for tasting the tea. In the raining night, there comes deep dream, the spring clouds are dark and far. I have experienced the grief of parting and homesickness and penetrated every way of the world. Written by Fu Dan Qiong Sheng in the 10th month of the jiazi  year of the Qianlong reign (in accordance with 1744).'
