Description

with bevelled edges, decorated in gold and silver hiramaki-e, takamaki-e, kirigane, nashi-ji, kimpun and hirame depicting cherries blossoming in the Yoshino mountains and a stream partly covered by clouds, the interior of the cover depicting pavilions, teahouses and a bridge linking mountainous promontories, all on a nashi-ji ground, containing two separate trays for brushes, an ink stone and a silver water dropper cast with wisteria flowers, the underside in mura-nashi-ji, with double-fitted boxes

Condition

A few kirigane are missing from the side, and the silver waterdropper has some verdigris but overall condition is very good.
