Description

of rectangular form, decorated in gold, silver and iro-e hiramaki-e, takamaki-e, kirigane, depicting a hen and rooster feeding, on a kimpun scattered ro-iro ground, the interior in hirame on a ro-iro, the risers in okibirame, the inner tray decorated with a bird alighting on a hanging metal lantern to feed chicks nesting within, all on a ground of scattered kimpun, the cavetto of okibirame (2)

Condition

There are cracks to the upper right and lower left corners of the lid, but they are stabilized. The tray's lower corners' gilt is rubbed. The four corners of the riser of the box has some scratches to the gold lacquer.
