standing on four small feet, the two-tiered box and cover decorated in gold and silver hiramaki-e, nashi-ji and kimpun with a shaped panel depicting a pair of quail and millet, each side with shaped panels of pinks, sparrows with bamboo, peony and cherry blossoms, the bottom tier containing four shell-shaped kogo decorated with stylized textile and plants, the sides with various shells and sea weed, the interiors in nashi-ji

A few inlays of kirigane (small cut gold sheet inlays) are missing on the side panel but in otherwise good condition.
