Description
decorated in gold and silver hiramaki-e, takamaki-e, kirigane, hirame and kimpun, the exterior of the cover depicting a cherry tree and young pine in spring on a bank next to a stream and rocks on a hirame scattered black lacquer (ro-iro) ground, the interior with a pine and young shoots and plum blossoms along a stream under clouds, on a nashi-ji ground, the interior of the box with bamboo on a nashi-ji ground, fitted with an inkstone, a water dropper carved as cherry blossoms, brushes and inkcake holder (2)

Condition
Three tiny kirigane (tiny gold sheet cut inlay) are missing from the lid, and there is a minor dent to the corner of the lower right of the edge of the riser of the body. Otherwise in good condition.
