Description
the ovoid body below a waisted neck, the handles formed by a pair of confronting dragons rising from the shoulder and arching to bite the everted mouth rim, the mythical beasts adorned with pointed ears and scrolling horns, their backs accented with four pearl-shaped bosses, the green, amber and straw glaze pooling from the top and stopping in irregularly-shaped loops mid-body, revealing the pinkish-buff ware

Condition
The amphora is in good condition overall and was inspected under UV light. There is a line of minor surface abrasion to the body just below the glaze. A glaze chip to the body 1/8 inch long, as well as a 1/2 inch shallow chip to the edge of the lip. The color is consistent with the catalogue image.
