depicting a meiren seated at a 'moon' window, gazing past the tree just outside of her walls, with an inscription which may be translated:



In the fifth month of the gengchen year (corresponding to 1820).  Written after the idea of the 'ci' poetry of Li Yi'an (Li Qingzhao).  Shaomei Wang Su, bearing a seal: Shaomei, wood box (2)

paper toned, a few creases, minor scattered small abrasions, scattered flyspots, small stain lower right, 1 1/2 inch tear on left edge by sleeve, slight repairs by sleeves and left eye, modern mount
