Description

the white stone with amber inclusions carved as a handle of baluster form, with a single band of formalised lappets around the shoulder, rising to a cylindrical neck surmounted by a gilt-bronze support and rod holding five loose carnelian 'wheels', each of eight-lobed form and variegated red and white colour, separated by gilt-bronze washers, with a tassle with two coral beads tied to a gilt-bronze knob attached to the handle on the opposite end
