Description

the thin translucent pale celadon stone carved in high-relief with Shoulao and an acolyte walking beneath a giant fruiting peach tree along a precipice, the sides of the stone roughly hewn and jagged resembling cliffs, the reverse carved with two deer standing below a craggy pine tree,  the cliffs further enhanced with russet staining, the top of the front side inscribed with eight quotations from the classics I-ching (The Book of Changes), Shuo-jing (The Book of Poems), and Shu-jing (The Book of Books), with a further two-character yuzhi mark inscribed at the top

Condition

The overall condition is very good with natural veining in the stone cleverly utilised in the carving.
