Description

the long pebble finely carved in the form of a recumbent lion seated on its haunches with its paws punctuated by sharp talons, its face well defined by bulbous eyes, a snout nose and partially open jaws revealing sharp fang and even rows of teeth, below bushy eyebrows and floppy pointed ears, with archaistic scrolls carved to the body, its long undulating locks of mane detailed with fine incisions, with a bushy tail swept alongside its right haunch, the stone of an even white tone highlighted by russet splashes

Condition

There are minute nibbles to the tail but otherwise the piece is in very good condition.
