the flattened pebble well carved in the form of a catfish with its young, the scales, fins, and gills well defined, the underside revealing its curling tail and fins detailed in relief, the smoothly polished stone of a warm primrose tone retaining its amber and castaneous toned skin

There is a small nick to the tip of the fin of the young catfish. To the larger catfish, there is a small area to the tip of the tail and the side of its face which has been slightly polished down. Otherwise the piece is in good condition overall.
