Description

the globular body supported on a short splayed foot, the short wide neck flanked by two loop handles, splashed on both sides with a large area of rich purple on the pale milky blue glaze draining from the rim to reveal the russet body beneath and stopping short on the foot burnt brown in the firing

Condition

There is a 3cm U-shaped hairline on the rim, but part of the hairline (1.5cm) is only visible on the interior. There are no repairs. There are about 6 short hairline cracks on the foot, but overall condition is quite good.
