Description

each supported on a flared foot rising to a slender ovoid body, curving to a narrow cylindrical neck and flaring to a trumpet mouth, covered overall with an unctuous bluish pebble-grey glaze suffused with light speckling, one with fine and evenly distributed crackles, the unglazed footring dressed in a dark chocolate-brown slip, inscribed on the base with the seal mark in underglaze-blue

Condition

One of the vases has some light crackles in the glaze and is a touch grayer than the other vase. The other vase does not have any crackles and has a minute pinprick air bubble on the mouthrim. The profile of the vases vary slightly. The actual colour of the vases is slightly greener and a little less blue than in the catalogue illustration. The overall conditions of the vases are very good.
