Description

one modelled as an archaic ear-cup, one as a curled leaf, and another of square lobed shape, each covered in a rich pale grey glaze suffused with a golden crackle

Mostra D'Arte Cinese, Venice, 1954 (square washer, according to label).

Condition

The washers are in good overall condition with the exception of a 5mm restored rim chip to the leaf-shaped washer, a 2cm., wide crescent-shaped area of restoration to the rim, and a 5cm., long hairline rim crack to the square washer; and some minor firing imperfections and light glaze scratches to all three.
